Our moderator Linda Grann is Head of Education at Prima Omsorg i Norden AB, a care provider specialising in
personal assistance and support for individuals with complex needs. She has a background in personal assistance, education, and training related to neuro-psychiatric conditions, and extensive experience in value-based care and communication.

Matilda Modigh, Epilepsy Clinical Nurse Specialist, Astrid Lindgren Children’s Hospital alongside Annie Egelin, Pediatric clinical nurse specialist with a special interest in epilepsy, Södersjukhuset AB will give a presentation on the
national advanced education course
at Karolinska Institutet for nurses
working with epilepsy.
Matilda Modigh is a clinical nurse specialist in epilepsy and a PhD candidate at Astrid Lindgren Children’s Hospital, where she researches epilepsy, with a particular focus on epilepsy surgery and the pre-surgical process. Her work is primarily epidemiological,
integrating artificial intelligence and incor-porating elements of qualitative methods.
Annie Egelin is a Pediatric clinical nurse specialist with a special interest in

epilepsy at Sachsska Children’s Hospital (part of Söder-sjukhuset AB) and works closely with children affected by neurological conditions. She brings practical experience and clinical know-how from one of Sweden’s largest pediatric hospitals.

Oskar Ahlberg, Vice Chair of the Swedish National Organisation for Rare Diseases will do a key-
note on how to improve the care
for people living with rare and complex epilepsies. This presentation is to open up and inspire a workshop on how to improve the care for people living with rare and complex epilepsies.
Oskar Ahlberg is Vice Chair of the Swedish National Organisation for Rare Diseases and Vice Chair of the Swedish MPS (mucopolysac-charidoses) society. Today, he works to improve access to


diagnosis and treatment for people living with rare conditions, bringing both personal insight and professional experience to national advisory groups like the Swedish Council for New Therapies.

Interactive session on how to overcome real life challenges and key issues.
Through a structured brainstorm, we will explore ideas for “next practice”
in care for people with epilepsy and intellectual disabilities, which the Nordic advocates can bring home to their individual countries. Each of the advocates will present their main
take-away messages and a shortlist
of ideas for future initiatives by the national patient associations.

Eir Nordic Day is organised and fully funded by Jazz Pharmaceuticals. The event is organised in accordance with LER - Ethical Rules for the Pharmaceutical Industry. Jazz pays for meals, venue costs and speaker fees. Any travel and accommodation related to the meeting are arranged and paid for by the participants themselves.
